What is the Libertarian Party?
The Libertarian Party represents YOU! It was
founded in 1971 by college students.
It is a political organization which respects YOU
as a unique and competent individual.
It recognizes the responsibilities we all share to
preserve the American Heritage of: Liberty, Patriotism and Personal Responsibility.
It encourages all people to choose what they want
from life; it lets them live, love, work, play and dream their own way.
It is a caring, people-centered approach to
politics.
It believes each individual is unique; it
encourages US to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential.
It recognizes that each individual has the right to
control his or her own body, action, speech and property.
It recognizes Government's only role is to help
individuals defend themselves from force and fraud.
Government at all levels is too large, too
expensive, woefully inefficient, arrogant, intrusive and downright dangerous. Democrat and
Republican politicians have created the status quo and do not intend to change it.
Libertarians
want to:
Substantially reduce the size and intrusiveness of
government and reduce all taxes (completely eliminating the income tax).
Let peaceful, honest people decide for themselves
what to eat, drink, read or smoke. End the war on drugs.
Let peaceful, honest people offer their goods and
services to willing consumers without a hassle from government.
The U.S. Government should defend Americans and
their property in America. It should neither regulate nor confiscate our weapons; that
only disarms the victims. Government agents cannot keep illegal drugs out of the hands of
children. How can they keep guns out of the hands of criminals?
Repeal all corporate and individual income taxes!
The Libertarian Party is on the ballot in all 50
